Reverend Lucious L. Davis, Sr.

Reverend Davis was born in Houston, Texas to Willie Chatman and Linda Davis. He is a 1992 graduate of John H. Reagan High School. After graduating High School, he attended New Mexico State University on an athletic scholarship. While at NMSU, he was a two-time all-conference Wide Receiver, setting several school records. He finished his career as the school’s All-time Leading Receiver. After completing his eligibility, he pursued a career in coaching. While coaching, Reverend Davis acknowledged and accepted his call to the ministry in 2001.

To enhance his ministry, Rev. Davis completed courses at the College of Biblical Studies (Bible Study Methods, Principles of Teaching). He later enrolled in and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary receiving a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry and Master of Arts in Christian Education. Under the Pastoral Leadership of Pastor Emeritus D.R. Jefferson, Rev. Davis was licensed in 2001 and ordained in 2012 both at Christian Home Missionary Baptist Church. On January 5, 2015, Rev. Davis was elected as the 6th Pastor of the Christian Home Missionary Baptist Church. 


He is happily married to Kimberly Ann, and they are the proud parents of 2 sons Ke’Lenn and Lucious, Jr and 2 daughters Laquanna and Shelby. The scripture that serves as a foundation for Rev. Davis’ ministry is 2 Timothy 2:15: “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
